Full-Service Manufacturing

All Capabilities,
One Roof in Montana

From raw resin to finished, packaged product — injection molding, secondary operations, tooling, and prototyping. No hand-offs between vendors. No coordination gaps. No excuses on delivery.

Core Process

Injection Molding

Six injection mold machines running two shifts give us the throughput and flexibility to support low-volume sampling through high-volume production runs. Hyrobotics automation and custom-built fixturing ensure repeatable quality at speed.

  • 6 injection mold machines — varied tonnage for small to large parts
  • Two-shot (2K) molding for multi-material parts in one cycle
  • Overmolding — soft-touch grips, seals, and co-molded assemblies
  • Insert molding — metal, threaded, and custom inserts
  • Hyrobotics automation for consistent part handling
  • Custom automation and fixturing designed and built in-house
  • Low-volume sampling through high-volume production
  • Two production shifts for maximum output

Secondary Operations

Most molders hand you a bag of parts and send you elsewhere. We finish the job. Assembly, branding, and packaging are all included under our roof — fewer vendors, lower risk, faster delivery to your door.

  • Assembly — multi-component sub-assembly and final assembly
  • Sewing — fabric-and-plastic composite products and soft goods integration
  • Label printing — custom labels applied inline
  • Packaging — retail-ready bagging, boxing, and kitting

Tooling & Mold Building

New mold construction, maintenance, repairs, and tool transfers are coordinated through a trusted tooling partner located nearby in Montana. This relationship gives us reliable, responsive toolroom access — keeping your program on schedule without the overhead of a full in-house toolroom.

  • New mold construction — typical lead time 6+ months depending on complexity
  • Tool transfers — seamless intake of existing molds from other molders
  • Mold maintenance — preventive care coordinated through our Montana tooling partner
  • Mold repairs — fast turnaround on tool damage and wear, handled locally
  • Mold modifications — gate changes, texture additions, insert modifications
  • 3D prototyping support — validate design before tooling investment
  • DFM review available on request

3D Prototyping

3D prototyping is available on a project-by-project basis. If you need a physical part in hand before committing to tooling, contact us to discuss whether prototyping makes sense for your program — we can point you toward the right approach based on your geometry, timeline, and goals.

Quality & Inspection

Built-In Quality at Every Step

Quality isn't a final inspection — it's embedded in every process. Custom fixtures, inline checks, and calibrated tooling ensure each part meets spec before it ships.

  • Weight verification scales — catch short shots and material variation
  • Calipers and gauges for dimensional verification
  • Color matching — resin and masterbatch verification
  • Custom-built inspection fixtures per part number
  • Additional QC checks tailored to your specification requirements
  • Lean Six Sigma practices driving continuous improvement

Certifications & Compliance

AE Molding actively works with ISO 9001-compliant customers and maintains an active Federal Firearms License (FFL). We are open to pursuing additional certifications required for specific customer programs — discuss your requirements with our team.
